overheadshotoffarm400 Golden Link Gypsies LTD is located in north central Ohio. The breeding establishment consists of three farms.

The farms are Mapleton Equine Center, Mare Haven Farm, and Rolling Meadows Farm. Together they encompass 350 acres. Gypsy stallions, weanlings, and yearlings are located at Mapleton Equine Center. Mare Haven Farm houses some of our gypsy mares and most yearlings and weanling. Rolling Meadows Farm houses our gypsy and recipient mares.

Mares are run in groups of four to twelve in loose housing during the winter and pasture during spring, summer, and fall. Mares are pasture foaled if possible. During early spring with inclement weather, we foal in 12 × 22 ft. foaling stalls.

Stallions are handled daily and turned out into paddocks. During inclement weather, they are placed on the indoor walker.

All stalls have rubber lined floor mats and automatic heated fountains. All run-in sheds have 2-4 acre paddocks.

From heated automatic fountains, 2 inch rubber floor mats, indoor arena, and an indoor walker room to foaling paddocks, every appropriate management protocol is followed to insure that the optimum health condition is achieved in every golden link gypsy horse.

Mares run in one of two pastures. Our early spring pasture consists of 35 acres and the summer and fall pasture is 85 acres. All pastures have board or high-tensed fence. Approximately 50 acres of oats and 125 acres of hay are harvested yearly for the horses. Manure is stored in a 600 ton pit and spread every winter on crop fields.
